BCTC’s First Year Center
The First Year Center at Bluegrass Community and Technical College provides resources to incoming freshman as they transition to college life. The director of the Center approached me about creating wall graphics to cover the plain white concrete block walls and make the center a bit more inviting. The graphics I developed include a long wall with text relating to the mission of the Center and icons representing the various degrees offered at BCTC. On either end of the room, a wall-to-wall “exposed brick” texture was applied for ambience, along with a series of posters with inspiring educational quotes from historical figures.
